Vegan French Bread Pizza with Tofu Ricotta

A Plant-based version of a childhood favorite!

Ingredients
  • Large Baguette cut lengthwise
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Basil Tofu Ricotta -recipe below
  • Pepperoni Flavored Tofu Ricotta -recipe below
  • Oregano
  • Vegan Parmesan Cheese optional
Basil Tofu Ricotta
  • 14 oz block Firm Tofu
  • A handful or two of fresh basil
  • good shake of garlic powder
  • 1-2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
Pepperoni Flavored Tofu Ricotta
  • 14 oz block Firm Tofu
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 4 sprays of liquid aminos
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 500 F
  2. Place baguette halves on baking sheet (we put a cooling rack on a baking sheet)
  3. Spread desired amount of pizza sauce
  4. Place scoops of tofu ricotta on each half – you can mix and match.
  5. Sprinkle with oregano and parmesan cheese (optional)
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until bread is toasted and tofu is lightly browned
